I use repetition as language, a way to tell stories through rhythm, color, and form. Each painting is a page from my visual journal, shaped by patterns that feel more like music than mechanics. I find comfort in repeated motifs; they offer structure within spontaneity, echoing the way we search for meaning in daily rituals and familiar symbols.
Even within repetition, variation reveals itself. Just like life, where no experience is ever quite the same. That tension between order and chaos, stability and fluidity, drives my process. I call it choreographed chaos: marks made intuitively that gradually resolve into balance.
Color is intentional and restrained. I favor harmony over contrast, inviting emotional connection without overwhelming the senses.
Though rooted in my own history, including a childhood shaped by political upheaval, my paintings aren’t just about me. They’re about connection. I hope viewers find echoes of their own stories in the patterns and rhythms, and the calm within the chaos.
